Yovela Debesay is an economics and international development professional deeply committed to the future of emerging economies and diaspora engagement, with a focus on Sub-Saharan Africa. With five plus years of experience across corporate, public, and government sector, and a background shaped by both fieldwork and formal research, she bridges policy and practice to help shape more resilient, inclusive systems. Recently completed her Master of Arts in International Development at the Elliott School of International Affairs at George Washington University, where she concentrated on economic development with a focus on private-sector growth in Sub-Saharan Africa.
