ABOUT YOUSUF JUMA DARWISH

I’m a motivated and adaptable Civil Engineering student at Cal Poly Pomona with a strong foundation in both leadership and technical fieldwork. Currently, I’m gaining hands-on industry experience as an intern at RKA Consulting Group, where I assist with land development and civil design projects—enhancing my skills in CAD drafting, site analysis, and real-world engineering applications.I currently also lead a high-performing sales team at Metro by T-Mobile, improving performance and conversion rates through strategic management and team development. Previously I also served as Retail Operations Director at 99 Cents N Go, where I managed budgeting, inventory, and vendor coordination to drive profit growth and efficiency.I’ve applied my technical training in projects like the Engineering Meadow Topographic Survey, using AutoCAD Civil 3D and total station tools to produce professional-grade site maps. Beyond the field, I serve as Academic Coordinator for the Muslim Student Association, organizing career-focused events that support student development and professional networking.Outside of engineering, I’m passionate about working on cars—especially German models—where I enjoy hands-on tuning and learning the mechanics behind performance. I also stay active playing soccer and working out regularly, which keeps me disciplined and focused. In my free time, I follow the stock market and explore real estate opportunities, combining analytical thinking with long-term strategy. These hobbies fuel my drive for continuous improvement and reflect my curiosity across both technical and financial spacesWith a passion for problem-solving, communication, and continuous growth, I’m excited to contribute to innovative infrastructure solutions and meaningful team environments.
