At the Anumonwo Lab, we study the molecular and cellular mechanisms of heart function, with an emphasis on cardiac arrhythmias. Using advanced electrophysiological, molecular, and biochemical methods, we examine how ion channel properties influence electrical conduction and electromechanical coupling.My work centers on electrophysiology, where I perform ex-vivo and in-vivo ECG recordings in transgenic mouse models to explore arrhythmia mechanisms and how factors like genetics, age, adiposity, and sex/race differences impact cardiac excitation and function.https://anumonwo.lab.medicine.umich.edu/research
