About Yousef al-Kofahi
An accomplished technical leader with 20+ years of experience in academic and industrial research and development spanning machine learning, artificial intelligence, computer vision, natural language processing, and software engineering.Following the completion of my PhD, I took on roles at biotech startups where I led the development of image analytics and machine learning algorithms that were integrated into products used by clinical laboratory professionals, pharmaceutical researchers, and life scientists.In 2011, I joined the GE Research center, the driving force behind technological advancement across General Electric\'s diverse businesses. During my time there, I lead teams on projects focused on developing AI and computer vision solutions for applications in Healthcare and Aviation.From 2020 onwards, I joined Microsoft Customer and Partner Solutions, taking on the role of a data science lead for projects involving Fortune 500 customers, where I played a pivotal role in conceiving and implementing cloud-based AI solutions. Currently, I lead a team of data scientists within the AI Acceleration Studio, collaborating closely with strategic Microsoft customers to develop enterprise Gen AI solutions.
