Growing up my parents owned many different small businesses which helped start my journey into my current role as a Business Performance Advisor with Insperity. Some see owning a business as a fun, exciting new opportunity, and don’t realize the mental, physical, and financial strain that business owners, like my parents, experience.As a kid, I worked more hours than the employees did in order for my parents to meet payroll. Being young entrepreneurs, they often had no idea how to achieve growth for their company or handle the sticky situations that would occur.Some common questions I know they often asked were:• How can I efficiently save more time in my role as a business leader?• How do I manage my people and the back office paperwork while remaining compliant?• How do I maintain the culture already established while growing my employee count?• How do I know I have the right people in the right positions?Having these questions constantly being asked, it was no wonder they were always exhausted.My parent\'s plates were so full working the business they could never work on the business!My role as a Business Performance Advisor is to provide the right resources and expertise to help businesses, like my parents and others, understand the force multiplier people have on their bottom line.
