ABOUT YOSRA BOUASSIDA

I’m Yosra—a passionate software engineer with a Master’s degree in Big Data Technologies from Glasgow Caledonian University and an engineering degree from one of Tunisia’s top universities. My journey has taken me across borders—from Tunisia to France to the UK—where I’ve embraced diverse cultures while honing my technical skills. Being trilingual in Arabic, French, and English allows me to connect with people from various backgrounds effortlessly.During my time at Glasgow Caledonian University, I dove deep into data analytics, cloud computing and machine learning. One of my proudest moments was developing three innovative models aimed at enhancing Twitter sentiment analysis—an experience that not only sharpened my technical abilities but also ignited my passion for data-driven insights. This project was recognized within academic circles as a significant contribution to understanding social media dynamics.Currently working as a Software Engineer at Coutts after gaining valuable experience as a consultant at FDM Group has been incredibly rewarding. My previous role as a Machine Learning Engineer intern involved creating prototypes focused on improving the safety of self-driving cars by addressing image processing delays—a challenge that taught me the importance of precision in technology.In addition to my professional endeavors, I completed a year-long coding traineeship where I successfully executed two projects: Gazetteer and Company Directory—both user-friendly web applications that showcased my full-stack development skills. Each project reinforced my belief that technology can simplify lives when designed thoughtfully.Outside of work hours, I enjoy exploring new technologies and participating in community tech meetups where ideas flow freely among like-minded individuals who share the same enthusiasm for innovation.
