Following his tenure as a trader, he moved to the medical device field, founding and financing companies since 1998 raising over $100MM, and exits of over $500MM. Mr. Morik founded Advanced Stent Technologies Inc.(AST), which he started and carried through development and clinical trials. AST was successfully acquired by Boston Scientific in 2004.He served as chairman and director of several Israeli medical device companies - Rcadia Medical Imaging Ltd. and Expanding Orthopedics Ltd, and was a Director and early investor of Zixi, a Boston based new media company. Mr. Morik holds a BSc in Biology and BA in Mathematics from Roosevelt University, Chicago and an MSc in Information Systems and MBA from the University of Illinois.
