ABOUT YOS TARSHISH

As a passionate Jewish community professional, I’ve dedicated over a decade to fostering innovation and growth in Jewish student communities across the globe. My journey has taken me to professional work in three countries, where I’ve led Jewish communities at local, national, and international levels. In 2025, I joined the incredible team at CJPAC as Director of Campus & Youth Impact, where I lead our national efforts to cultivate the next generation of politically engaged Jewish and allied leaders. I oversee CJPAC’s flagship Fellowship and Generation programs and our broader work on campus, in high schools and in other youth spaces - equipping students with real-world campaign skills, deep political literacy, and multi-partisan networks that shape Canada’s future. Prior to this, I spent seven incredible years with Hillel Ontario, most recently as Senior Director of Hillel Queen’s. Queen’s University is home to one of Canada’s fastest-growing Jewish student populations, and I’m proud to have played a key role in shaping a thriving, inclusive, and empowered campus community there for the past five years. Throughout my career I have built a strong skillset around fundraising, personally raising well over $1 million for the organisations I’ve worked for. For example, in 2025 I spearheaded efforts to secure a three-year, federal grant for Hillel Ontario, through Canada’s National Holocaust Remembrance Program totalling close to - one of the largest ever government grants awarded to a Hillel in Canada. With a background in informal education, community organising, and creative program design, I constantly seek new ways to build accessible, sustainable infrastructure for Jewish life - online, offline, and in the places where civic life and Jewish identity intersect. I’m always excited to connect with others who care about building bold, inclusive, and future-facing Jewish communities.
