ABOUT ARASH YOOSEFDOOST
Dr. Arash Yoosefdoost is an accomplished researcher specializing in environmental solutions, clean energy and sustainable development. His postdoc research is focused on advanced technologies for greenhouse gas mitigation, with an emphasis on achieving carbon neutrality and negative emissions. His multifaceted experience and skills have also contributed significantly to strategies for reducing environmental impact and shaping the future of sustainable energy and water resources engineering and makes him well known for developing models and guidelines for Archimedes screw turbines, an innovative and fish-friendly hydropower technology. His research encompasses the application of artificial intelligence (AI), data analysis, and rigorous analytical research methodologies to develop software, model and guidelines to support the hydraulic design of Archimedean screw hydropower plants. With an extensive foundation built on Artificial Neural Networks (ANNs) and Data Mining in the context of Climate Change in Civil and Water Resources Engineering, he has developed a rich, multi-disciplinary understanding of environmental challenges.
