Major Projects: Strategic Conservation Assessment (SCA) of Gulf Coast Landscapes: The goal of this project is to develop planning tools that help users identify areas that will maximize the benefits of land conservation based on their goals and priorities. It was accomplished through a co-production process by which priorities were identified in existing Gulf plans (Conservation Planning Inventory Tool), vetted and refined by Gulf stakeholders, and then incorporated into our Conservation Prioritization Tool (CPT) and Conservation Visualization Tool (CVT). The conservation assessment tool suite has been released in April 2022 and ready for public use.
