10+ years professional chemistry laboratory experience in design, synthesis and evaluation of advanced electrode materials, Expertise in electrochemistry of anodes, cathodes and electrolytes for energy storage applications in Li-ion, Li-S, Na Batteries and Supercapacitors. • Testing battery assembling/disassembling with glovebox; Failure examination: Two- and three-electrodes test cell, Half- and full-cell test cell, Coin cell, Punch cell, Split cell, Beaker cell etc. Electrochemical evaluation such as Cyclic Voltammetry, Cycling charge-discharge, Rate capability, Ragone Plot and Electrochemical Impedance Spectroscopy. • Hands-on testing, analytical, process and characterization experience using a full scope of instruments, such as FTIR, XRD, SEM, TEM, EDS, AFM, BET, TGA, DSC, Raman, XPS, etc. • Synthesis techniques such as Solid-state reaction, Polymerization, Sol-gel, Hydrothermal, Electrostatic Spray Deposition (ESD), Electrospinning, Electrophoretic Deposition (EPD), etc. • Cleanroom experience with Micro- or Nanofabrication (MEMS/NEMS) such as Pressure sensor or Carbon-MEMS: Photomask design and making • CVD/PVD metal deposition • Photoresist/Photolithography • RIE/Chemical etching • Lift-off • Probe station measurement • Project management and coordination: team leader, proposal writing and annually report, design of experiment, data analysis, maintain lab reports and maintain MSDS sheets in the lab.
