ABOUT YONATAN AMBROSIO

I am a Princeton University student majoring in psychology with a minor in Latino Studies and Latin American Studies. I am originally from Jalisco, Mexico but have lived in the United States since the age of three. I have strong interests in clinical psychology, specifically on how cultural factors influence interpersonal relationships, pathologies, and how treatments can be shaped by culturally-integrated approaches. I have research experience in trauma-related treatments and I am currently at the Telethon Kids Institute in Perth, Australia working with Dr. Vincent Mancini and The Fathering Project to look at the role of fathers in promoting the health and development of their children. For my junior independent work at Princeton, I completed a paper titled \"Alcoholismo y Machismo: Culturally Specific Risk-Factors for Alcoholism Inheritance\" that looked at cultural risk factors for Latino father-son alcoholism inheritance.
