ABOUT YOMAR AGUILAR
As a first-generation immigrant child raised in a border town, I have firsthand seen and experienced the inequities of an under-resourced community. The only absolute equality stems from our judicial system; as such, I have dedicated myself to pursuing my passion in the field of law. As co-founder of a youth voting rights initiative named Valle Vota and founder of a youth unhoused advocacy organization named Familia del Valle, I have been dedicating time and resources to help alleviate problems that affect my community so deeply. I strive to continue working diligently to one day become an attorney and give back to the community I grew up in.
