I am currently an assistant professor in the department of Computer & Information Sciences at Spelman College. My research involves three primary research projects: 1. leveraging social interactions in video games to facilitate language learning; 2. game design as an effective pedagogical strategy for in-creasing the number of African Americans in the Computer Science pipeline; 3. participatory de-sign of mobile-based health care services that target underserved populations (e.g. women of African descent).
