ABOUT YOHAN MAHIMWALA

Yohan is a seasoned business leader with a broad range of experiences spanning over two decades in multiple sectors including Financial Services, Transportation & Logistics, and Not-For-Profit.His current mandate is to attract, retain and lead a team of skilled credit adjudicators responsible for making funding decisions on capital leaving the bank for RBC’s business markets clients. In his previous role, Yohan helped manage and grow some of Canada\'s premier commercial client relationships in the Greater Toronto Region. Leading with strategic advice and introducing partners to build capacity, he supported clients within the Business and Professional Service, Manufacturing, Distribution, Supply Chain and Retail verticals. Prior to joining RBC, Yohan managed a team within Tangerine\'s Investments Business Unit, working to double it from $2 bill. to $4 bill. He also spent a decade leading teams at UPS and FedEx in a variety of functions, building a portfolio of skills in Marketing and Human Resources. This included growing retail footprints, digital access, small business marketing product development across the enterprise. His skillset includes Business Planning, Implementation, Strategy Development, Budget Management, Reporting, Sales Support, Marketing Communications and Public Relations. His work in Human Resources focused on HR Planning, Recruitment & Selection, Interviewing, Onboarding, Training and Benefits Administration. He has a Honors Bachelor of Arts from York University and an Executive MBA from the Rotman School of Management at University of Toronto. Yohan currently serves as Vice Chair on the Board of BethanyKids International, a charity that supports thousands of surgeries annually for children on the continent of Africa. He has previously served as Chair of the Board of Directors for a large charity with 18 locations across Ontario. He also works closely with Ascend Canada, a non-profit committed to the development of professional experiences for Pan Asian Professionals. He co-chairs their annual conference for 400 delegates as well as co-chairs the RBC chapter for Ascend. He currently lives with his wife and 3 children in Toronto. His interests include personal finance, global affairs, technology, politics, and entrepreneurship.
