If I can understand how things move, I can understand how the world works.\"Pursuing a Master’s in Robotics was never just an academic step — it was a continuation of a dream I’ve carried since childhood: to become a robotics engineer or a scientist, building systems that make a difference. That goal gives meaning to every challenge I take on.I’m Yogeshwar Gopal, currently in the final semester of my Master’s in Robotics & Automation at the University at Buffalo, with a GPA of 3.83.I’ve worked as a Research Assistant, Teaching Assistant, held other on-campus positions, and am currently interning at C&A Tech as a Controls & Robotics Programmer, where I specialize in FANUC robot operation and PLC control. I’ve built UAV tracking systems using reinforcement learning, designed vision-integrated conveyors, and developed autonomous racing algorithms — all blending software with physical systems.I give attention to every detail. I clearly understand the purpose of my journey — and I love what I’m doing now.My toolbox includes RoboGuide, Studio Python, MATLAB, ROS2, AutoCAD, and reinforcement learning. But what I enjoy most is building systems that perform under real-world uncertainty.Some of the best lessons in engineering haven’t come from code, but from music, movement, and stillness — I play the Tabla, enjoy hiking, cooking, video editing, and taking on challenging engineering projects that go far beyond coursework. I also contribute to everyday tasks and volunteer efforts. Learning about different cultures and practicing mindfulness through daily prayer keeps me grounded.
