ABB Quebec is a part of divison : Measurement & Analytics** Responsible of the Aerospace and Defense Systems projects** Responsible of the Optics commodity • Interface between suppliers and engineering team ensuring that project information is adequately shared between all• Request quotes and purchase the materials, services and other specific items required at any step of the several projects• Place orders for material and follow-up with suppliers for material deliveries to meet project schedules• Carefully follow non-conformities with suppliers • Implement non-disclosure agreement (NDA) with new suppliers• Resolve critical supply shortages• Negotiate and manage contracts with key suppliers• Develop and maintain strong working relationships with suppliers and their management• Collaborate with R&D to successfully onboard new products and suppliers and participation in audits• Participation in the improvement project dedicated to the space and defense area• Develop and implement commodity strategies (Optics) that ensures the utilization of best in class products & suppliers based on Technology, Quality, Supply and Cost• Monitor commodity market trends (new technology developments, product costs, global supply conditions and competitive supplier landscape) to develop strategies that leverage market trends
