When Y’Na heard the call, she became a birth and postpartum doula in response. Y’Na provides coaching, information, resources, labor and postpartum support to expecting families. She has a degree in art with a concentration in graphic design coupled with 15+ years of design experience. In addition, she studied over a year at Virginia State University as a Biology Pre-med Major. Mrs. Evans is educated by organizations such as American Fitness Professionals & Associates (AFPA), Atlanta doula collective (ADC), Doulas of North America International (DONA), Childbirth & Postpartum Association (CAPPA), Sistersong and Wake up coaching. She is a resource to her village as a Community partner, she is trained in Birth Justice and as an Advanced Doula. Y’Na is the Creator of Nurturing Her, LLC, a childbirth practice and mother centric company. Like most birth-workers, her bag has all the tools for comforting and supporting moms. However, Mrs. Evans also carries her divine tools of creativity, compassion, empathy, intuition, instinct, wisdom, and love. These tools can’t be taught or brought they must be experienced. Y’Na is passionate about creating spaces and holding space for women becoming mothers. Mrs. Evans is also the Creator of Redd Media Griots Ltd. a boutique multimedia design, publishing and tech company. She is one of the original members of the ADC (Atlanta Doula Collective), where she functions as the Social media mgr. and Graphic designer. She fashioned the ADC brand, vision and website as well as other small businesses and grassroots organizations in the Atlanta community.
