About Yliana Roland
I’m a writer and producer passionate about amplifying underrepresented voices in film, TV, and digital media. At Disney’s ABC Owned Television Stations, I supported inclusive storytelling initiatives across 8 local news stations, ABC News Live, and On The Red Carpet. As a recurring associate producer on our Storytellers Spotlight series and a contributor to projects reaching 100K+ viewers, I’ve helped craft stories that inform, inspire, and engage diverse communities. My background also spans development (SuperSpecial, Pacesetter Productions), editorial (Matthew Shepard Foundation, The Daily Texan), and production (ABC)—from field shoots through post workflows. I’m currently further building my production management skill set through a Production Coordinator apprenticeship with The Handy Foundation, where I’m gaining hands-on experience in logistics, budgeting, and on-the-ground coordination. Across all roles, I bring a collaborative mindset, strong creative instincts, and a commitment to elevating stories that reflect the world we live in.
