ABOUT YLENIA SACCO
I come from an international background, having studied and worked with people from all over the world. I was raised in a healthcare environment and have been always interested in new technologies. I found my vocation in 2005 working as a project manager in an ICT company and then in public health organizations. Previously, I had a multidisciplinary background in Health Economics, Project and Research Management, and business development. From 2016 I am working as an independent Evaluator for different agencies of the European Commission on the following topics: Personalised Medicine, health promotion, eMentalHealth, ICT and advanced technologies applied to healthcare services (e.g. AI, Big Data, ML). From the beginning of 2023, I am the Director of Turin\'s healthcare facilities of the Don Gnocchi Foundation which is a leading no-profit healthcare organization in Italy in the health-rehabilitation and social health fields. It is focused on neurological and movement rehabilitation, from medium to high complexity (severe acquired brain injuries) and disabilities. It is also involved in research activities with the support of robotics and new technologies at the national and international levels following a fully translational approach \"from bench to the bedside\" and applying personalized therapeutic and care pathways. When I am out of the office, if not travelling, you could probably find me trekking or with my running shoes on, ready to discover new paths.
