About Yikun Shao

I am a Managing Director with KPMG\'s Trade & Customs practice in New York City. I\'m dedicated to creating value for clients through deep expertise in cross-border trade and commerce. Prior to joining KPMG, I was the Head of North America Supply Chain for Alibaba\'s B2B marketplace business. In this capacity, I spearheaded strategic initiatives and developed platform-level solutions to strengthen cross-border supply chains for business customers. Before Alibaba, I cultivated over 15 years of experience in global trade and customs consulting with PwC, which included five years in China and two years in Japan, before I relocated to the United States. During my tenure at PwC, I advised clients across a multitude of industries on the full spectrum of technical customs and trade matters, and collaborated closely with cross-functional teams in both tax and advisory to deliver integrated solutions for complex client needs.I hold an MBA from Georgetown University, with a focus on international business and trade, and a bachelor\'s degree in economics and international trade from Shanghai International Studies University. I\'m fluent in Chinese, Japanese and English.
