ABOUT YIZHI ZHANG
Fast decisions. Clear thinking. Backed by logic and data. That’s what I value, and it’s what led me to quantitative finance. I got my Bachelor of Science in 2025 from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, majoring in Actuarial Science, Statistics, and Economics, with a minor in Computational Science and Engineering. This comprehensive academic background gave me a strong foundation in data, modeling, and financial thinking. I applied these skills during internships at RGA, KKR, and Huatai Securities, working on projects in investment analysis, predictive modeling, and market research. These experiences deepened my interest in how markets work and taught me to think clearly, adapt quickly, and connect technical work to real-world decisions. I’m excited to join a fast-moving team where I can apply what I’ve learned, take on real challenges, and use quantitative thinking to support smarter outcomes. Happy to connect and chat more. Fun Fact: I come from five generations of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) doctors. But during my first hospital volunteer shift, I realized I was more interested in the numbers behind than the medicine itself.
