ABOUT YITONG XIN

I am an Assistant Professor of Social Work whose research focuses on psychedelic-assisted interventions for trauma-related mental health outcomes. My work centers on resilience, meaning-making, and the clinical and translational pathways through which novel interventions can support recovery and well-being.Trained as both a researcher and a licensed social worker, I bring a clinically grounded and community-informed perspective to psychedelic science. I integrate quantitative, qualitative, and mixed-methods approaches to advance ethical, accessible, and evidence-based applications of psychedelic-assisted care.I am particularly interested in translational research that bridges lived experience, clinical practice, and mental health policy. I am currently engaged in institutionally supported research training and collaborative projects focused on trauma, resilience, and emerging interventions.
