ABOUT YINYI TAN

I\'m Malaysian born and raised but have spent most of my professional career working in Vancouver, BC where I\'ve held roles in startups that very quickly scale.I am performance driven, detail-oriented, but also always looking towards that \"big picture\". I believe in always advocating for the customer and love to help champion the voice of the customer at each stage in a company\'s growth. People Leading is something I genuinely love, and have had amazing opportunities to build, grow and scale efficient customer-facing teams, and also lead managers of managers while helping them develop in their own careers. Most recently, I spent 6+ years at Thinkific in 2 key customer-facing teams. Thinkific is a platform developed to empower knowledge entrepreneurs grow their businesses through online education. I led our Stevie-Award winning Customer Support team for 3 years, before my final move to the Customer Success team where I work with our Customer Success Managers in supporting our mid-market Thinkific Plus clients. I was the Restaurant Partnerships Manager for Foodee, an office meal delivery service focused on bringing top local restaurants to corporate teams. I met restaurant owners and chefs, and connected them with Foodee\'s client base. I am happy to say that I worked with over 100 great partners in the Vancouver market.Outside of work, I love scouring food blogs for new restaurants to try, and recipes to test. I highly recommend giving Lucky Peach (unfortunately no-longer published quarterly food journal) a read if you enjoy stories about how food, culture and politics intersect.
