As a Zero Gravity mentee in year 13 during sixth form, I was greatly impacted by my mentor but ultimately the company\'s story and motivation. Zero gravity is an online platform which aims to help students who have certain barriers which could prevent them from applying to or getting into university. Being surrounded by people similar to myself, I have found the experience enlightening and my mentor supported me through the entire post-18 process to HE. Because of this, I was able to successfully be a candidate for the Zero Gravity scholarship which has helped me and many students across the country, really benefit from university and everything else that comes along with it. I then decided to become a Zero Gravity Mentor and I have enjoyed discussing and supporting my mentee with her future aspirations concerning HE. Zero Gravity is a company that focuses on and prioritises the younger generation of students who have incredible potential if given the opportunity to showcase this, one example being the HSBC Accelerator Programme. I am proud to say I was selected to be a part of this programme and I have learnt many things about HSBC as a company and also the things they do to help future generations who wish to venture into the banking world. My mentor has been very supportive and has made me look at this world differently and I feel as though I have grown a lot with her the past couple of months.
