Extensive Electromagnetics Engineering and R&D experience (15 years) with key technical expertise on: 1) 5G Millimeter-wave Phased Array Antenna Module (inc. a) Initiate new antenna system proposal and RF architecture analysis for existed and targeted customers. b) Model transitions and distribution networks in PCB, along with passive components (filter, Wilkinson, directional coupler, balum, and crossover) design. c) Design and build phased array antenna module (PAAM) for 5G gNodeB and Joint Communication and Sensing (JCAS) applications.(Operates at 28GHz, 39GHz, 60GHz, and 140GHz frequencies). d) Develop supplementary passives (include gradient dielectric lens, radome, and Reflector) for array function enhancement. e) Initiate the commercial-orientated research activities on Orbit Angular Momentum multiplexing, Transformation Optics, and Frequency selective surfaces. f) Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team (include mechanical, thermal, component) and develop new packaging solutions for RFIC-PCB integration. g) Write up the computer program for channel estimation, CDF analysis and other automation EM modelling. h) Develop the evaluation broads for the RFIC product line, and test coupons for PCB evaluation. i) Coordinate with ODM and layout team for hardware DFM release and manufacturing. j) Measure, calibrate, and debug the phased array in the near/far-field test environment. k) Supervise junior engineers and develop their skillsets. 1) Released two PAAM products as best-in-class outdoor/indoor base station and successfully delivered them to the market with good commercial impact. 2) Invented a new category of GRIN lens (based on a novel Transformation-Optics method) to be integrated with existed phased array, as an ongoing commercialization process.
