ABOUT YUFENG ZHANG

I am energized by helping people to achieve their goals. I feel motivated when my suggestions become meaningful to my clients. I gain a sense of achievement from delivering satisfaction to my clients through continuous communication and ongoing improvement. As a double degree student at Queen’s and Queensland, I have a solid background in global operations, international finance, and business analytics. I tend to stress-test my work by seeking feedback from others to challenge my thoughts. I always try to consider various aspects, but I am also comfortable with unknowns and mistakes, and I spend time learning from them. I reflect on the consequences of my decisions and constantly improve. Looking back on my studies and work, I have developed great team spirit and business skills. During my internship at Mercer, I worked with professionals from around the world at the Employee Health and Benefits Department. I learned data analysis and strategy-building techniques while developing my leadership, management and communication skills. I delivered innovative solutions to my clients and helped them to address the health and wellness needs of their employees globally. In Mars Wrigley, the world’s leading manufacturer of food confectionaries, I gained deeper insights into the consumer packaged goods (CPG) industry and category analysis. Through engaging in its in-house digital transformation process, I further developed the skills needed in today’s e-commerce industry. I am proud of successfully delivering a transformational product and seeing it improve the corporation’s efficiency. During my experience at Unilever, I have gotten exposure to different functions, honed my business acumen, and improved my analysis and management skills by leading challenging projects for finance and e-commerce. I performed the financial evaluation of Unilever brands and product launches for optimal investment decision-making. I took the initiative to conduct core financial systems and processes re-design and implementation. As a CFA level II candidate, I have a great passion for finance. With my diverse internship experiences, I feel confident to pursue my dream in this field related and start my career in a fast-changing business environment. I am looking forward to taking my experience to the next level with a globalized vision and continuing to add more value to my clients.
