About Ye Zhao

I am a creative researcher, a hands-on engineer and a self-motivated project lead.Currently I am the engineering project lead of high-power and high-voltage gradient amplifiers in MRI systems (The instantaneous output current > and output voltage > I am familiar with the medical compliance requirement such as IEC 60601-1 Ed3.1.Also, I teach LTspice and Python at Udemy in my spare time.My previous work experiences include design of 1kV, 1.5kV Solar Photovoltaic Inverters and 300W ultra-wide dc-dc converters. My PhD research experiences mainly focus on improving the reliability, safety and efficiency of both grid-connected and stand-alone solar photovoltaic (PV) systems using power electronics and control techniques, machine learning approaches and outlier detection rules. Through the interdisciplinary research, I have gained the skills in brainstorming, discovering “blind spots” in existing solutions, exploring new ideas, prototyping and developing commercial products.I have won Best Student Presentation Awards twice in conferences. I have filed one US patent application about PV string monitoring systems. I am the author of three peer-reviewed journals, and have published 16 conference papers in Power Electronics and Photovoltaics.
