About Francis Yuan
I am a senior at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, pursuing a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance+Data Science with a minor in Statistics. As a James Scholar, I strive for academic excellence and leadership development, while also exploring my passion for investment banking. I want to share with you the experience that I am most proud of. In 2022, I founded the Equity Research Association (ERA), a platform for students to learn financial knowledge, share resources, and write equity research reports. After 2 years of effort, we have a well-organized learning and operation system with more than 50 active members. We also set up the website for ERA-erauiuc.com which attracted more than views so far. We had done four equity research reports including research on the large-cap banks in America. I hope that ERA can help more students interested in finance and investment. While trying to develop ERA and give back to my college, I am eager to apply my skills and knowledge to real-world challenges and opportunities in the investment banking field. I am proficient in financial modeling, pitch books, comparable analysis, and data analysis. I am also fluent in English and Mandarin.
