Performs quality assurance activities of purchased items in sourcing, to projects and product maintenance with the objective to receive parts according to the agreed specification.• Manages quality data in Volvo IT systems including certificates, APQP, PPAP, LPS, SEM, Index, SMA, etc.• Achieve the purchasing objectives for portfolio in accordance with Purchasing Strategic Objectives and with the customer’s needs. • Reviewing the RFQ content and secure all quality demands are present• Participating in the cross functionally group and contribute with facts, emphasizing critical manufacturing processes clearly and comprehensibly documented.• Reviewing and identifying suppliers’ manufacturing risks and improvements potentials. Assure actions are taken to close identified gaps• Develop and maintain a risk evaluation tool (Segment Specific Evaluation) for his/her segment which is to be used for risk analysis during the supplier evaluation and selection process.• Participating in SIPD (Supplier Involvement Product Development) activities for the chosen suppliers• Informing and educating suppliers in the Volvo Quality Purchasing demands as defined in the Supplier Quality Assurance Manual (SQAM)• Reviewing and identifying suppliers’ manufacturing risks and improvements potentials. Assure actions are taken to close identified gaps• Performing Process Audit at suppliers and drive supplier to close the gaps• Contributing to resolving packaging instruction issues and engineering documentationIn the operational activities • Initiating and following up preventive quality action programs when needed and follow up on corrective actions• Leading LPS (Low Performing process) activities for suppliers with poor performance as determined by the LPS process and maintain appropriate documentation• Actively participating in solving supplier related warranty, Quality Journal, Quality Action
