Hi everyone, I’m Yeswant G R - a biotechnology enthusiast driven by the thrill of decoding molecular mysteries and transforming them into real-world solutions. Currently, I’m pursuing a PhD as an i3c BRIC scholar at NIBMG, where I contribute to cutting-edge research in molecular cancer therapeutics, aiming to advance our understanding of cancer biology and therapeutic innovations. My journey began with a Master’s in Biotechnology from Loyola College, Chennai, where I blended wet-lab precision and in silico modelling to study complex biological phenomena. My thesis focused on the COX-2 inflammatory response in earthworms exposed to pesticides, combining western blotting and computational modelling to study protein behaviour and ligand interactions. During my internships, I had the opportunity to work on:🧪Developing microbial biofertilizer formulations for enhancing soil fertility.🧬Gaining hands-on experience in cell culture, immunofluorescence, histology, and other molecular biology techniques.These experiences deepened my understanding of experimental design and sparked a passion for applying biotechnology to solve real-world problems.
