About Dave Yeske

Dr. Dave Yeske, CFP® earned a doctorate in finance at Golden Gate University and an M.A. in Economics and a B.S. in Applied Economics from the University of San Francisco. He has been practicing financial planning since 1990.Dr. Dave is a past Chair of the Financial Planning Association (FPA) and subsequently chaired FPA\'s PAC, Research Center Team, and Academic Advisory Council. He served as Practitioner Editor of the Journal of Financial Planning from 20••••19.Dave serves on the board of trustees of the Foundation for Financial Planning and is currently Immediate Past Chair.He has been quoted in national media including The Wall Street Journal, New York Times, Business Week, Newsweek, USA Today, Investors Business Daily, San Francisco Chronicle, and The Journal of Financial Planning. Dave has also appeared on CBS, CNBC, CNN and NBC News. Dave and the Yeske Buie approach to investing were profiled in the Wall Street Journal in October 2009 and Dave was again profiled in the Journal in 2010 on “The Science of Financial Advising.”Dave holds an appointment as Distinguished Adjunct Professor in Golden Gate University\'s Ageno School of Business and was director of the financial planning program from 20••••23. He is a Dean and Mentor for FPA’s Residency Program.

Today, GGU\'s Ageno School of Business offers two degree options in Financial Planning, an MS in Financial Planning for those preparing to sit for the CFP(R) exam, and an MS in Advanced Financial Planning, designed for CFP(R) licensees who would like advanced education with a specialization in Tax Planning, Estate Planning, or Financial Life Planning. The Tax and Estate Planning concentrations are both offered in conjunction with GGU\'s Braden School of Taxation, the largest tax school in the country and recently ranked in the top 10.Both degrees are offered in the classroom and entirely
