ABOUT YESHASWI PULIJALA
As an aspiring reproductive endocrinologist, I’m fascinated by the complexities of human development and reproductive health. I earned a Bachelor of Arts in Genetics with a Minor in Political Science from Rutgers University, where I gained hands-on experience in molecular and cellular biology through various research labs. At the Soto Lab, I work to optimize lab protocols and conduct key experiments to study the role of cell migrations and polarity that\'s powered by branched actin. My time in the Rongo Lab allowed me to analyze protein isoforms in hypoxia signaling and use advanced techniques like NeuroPAL to study C. elegans neurons. These experiences have reinforced my commitment to a career in reproductive biology and developmental genetics. On the clinical side, I’ve worked as an Emergency Medical Technician (EMT-B) with Edison Emergency Medical Services, responding to emergency calls and providing patient care. My past role as a medical assistant and scribe have further developed my skills in patient interaction and medical documentation. I am excited about the future and the opportunity to make a significant impact on many lives through both clinical practice and research in reproductive endocrinology!
