   As an Associate in the Global Operations Position Control (GOPC) team at Morgan Stanley, I manage independent control and risk functions for the ISG Equity Operations division. My core responsibilities include performing T+1 exception-based reconciliations for internal commodities, Equity swaps, and non-native ETFs, specifically comparing CMD vs. CMD (Native) and CMD vs. FID to ensure the integrity of the firm\'s books and records.I investigate and resolve complex trade breaks by cross-referencing proprietary trading and risk systems, including Vista, Pharos, Poseidon, TX, and Trend. By directly liaising with Technical Support Groups (TSG) and trading desks, I ensure system mismatches are rectified promptly. To mitigate operational and financial risk, I enforce strict escalation protocols for any breaks exceeding one day prior to the Value Date.A significant part of my role involves high-level risk reporting and stakeholder engagement. I compile and publish comprehensive Risk Packs for senior management, detailing WIP adjustments, pending IT fixes, CUSIP data, and break values across the Mumbai and Bangalore regions. Additionally, I drive the monthly Balance Score Card (BSC) review, which involves coordinating cross-functional calls, validating late-stage breaks, and finalizing performance metrics on SharePoint for executive visibility. I also handle critical regulatory requirements, including Russian reporting submissions.To drive operational efficiency, I conduct bi-weekly and monthly sanity checks on reconciliation reason codes and system commentary. I leverage Alteryx workflows to extract and validate data against the Golden Source, ensuring absolute accuracy. Furthermore, I review and optimize existing Alteryx workflows and macros to resolve processing bottlenecks and strengthen internal control frameworks.
