About Yasmin Badri

Recently completed my Data Scientist Immersive bootcamp program at General Assembly, specializing in Python, SQL, and machine learning. Before diving into Data Science, I worked for a start-up rental clothing subscription company for 5 years, and 2 years consulting for their co-partner in China, where I learned a lot of different skills. I collaborated with the engineers and learned quite a bit about using data to make algorithms that can predict targets, often better than humans themselves can. As a project and personnel manager, I developed and honed leadership and communication skills, and learned how to delegate tasks and how best to manage my time. We utilized the Looker BI tool at this company, and I taught myself how to navigate and use it, which is how I found my love for data analysis. I decided to pursue it further and study Data Science as a profession, so after about a year of self-learning Python and SQL with the help of DataQuest.io, I joined General Assembly\'s Data Science Immersive Course in order to get a more structured education experience. I received my certificate and I am confident in my skills in SQL, Python, web/API scraping and ETL pipelines, data cleaning and organizing, and machine learning and predictive modeling, but most of all my ability to learn new concepts quickly. Currently utilizing my new skills as a Data Quality Engineer at Coin Metrics.
