About Yasmeen Richards
I am a therapist specializing in maternal and paternal perinatal mental health. I place a strong focus on supporting first generation Americans through the intricacies of parenting \"between\" cultures, and love helping parents at all stages discover their unique parenting style and strengths. My clinical interests include emotional preparation for birthing and parenting, identifying and changing generational patterns, birth trauma, psychedelic-assisted psychotherapy and mind-body work.I have two master\'s degrees in social/behavioral science/art from The George Washington University (USA), and University of Amsterdam (Netherlands), and was the 2022 recipient of the Dr. Chris Erickson Mental Health Service Advocacy Award. I continue training extensively in matters pertaining to maternal mental health and perinatal mood and anxiety disorders (PMADs).
