ABOUT YASMEEN KHAN
I’m a junior at Bates College majoring in Political Science with an Educational Studies minor. My work centers around inclusive education, education technology, public policy, and legal advocacy—driven by a commitment to equitable learning environments for all students.With over three years of paid experience supporting students with disabilities, I’ve worked in both classroom and programmatic settings. My roles include serving as an Educational Coordinator at Bates, a Residential Assistant at Johns Hopkins Center for Talented Youth, and an advocate with the NVLD Project, where I raise awareness for nonverbal learning disabilities.I bring a unique perspective as someone with lived experience in the disability space, paired with a strong foundation in instructional design, policy, and student engagement. I’m especially passionate about education reform, nonprofit leadership, and expanding access for underserved communities.Looking to connect with mission-driven professionals and organizations in education, EdTech, and philanthropy.
