Yasiris Ortiz is a professional table tennis player and champion who is building accessible sports infrastructure in the Bronx.As Founder and CEO of Spin & Learn, she has served students across 45+ NYC public schools since 2020, using table tennis to support focus, confidence, and wellness—especially for students with special needs and young people who don\'t thrive in traditional team sports. Partner schools report improved attendance and engagement, with programs operating reliably during and after the school day.Yasiris represents the Dominican Republic as a member of the national table tennis team. She is a Gold Medalist at the 2018 Caribbean Championships (Singles and Team, Jamaica), Bronze Medalist at the 2023 Central American Games (Team, San Salvador), and Bronze Medalist at the 2024 Bolivarian Games (Team, Peru). She brings elite-level training into accessible community settings and is trusted by principals, families, and community partners to deliver programming to schools with limited resources.She is a graduate of Goldman Sachs Small Businesses and the author of \"Yasi The Champion,\" a children\'s book inspired by her journey.Yasiris is focused on opening the first community table tennis center in the Bronx—a year-round space for youth, families, and seniors to train, connect, and thrive.
