About Yasin Shaida

If I could redo one choice in my life, it would be the day I decided to study law. Yes, I refined my reading, writing and critical thinking skills. Yes, I achieved a four-year degree while working full-time, and gained real world experience as a paralegal post-graduation. And yes, I still consider going to law school and making a difference. But as Les Brown once said,\"Don\'t let someone else\'s opinion of you become your reality.\" I was told from a young age that my charisma, my ability to speak, and my talent for writing could lead me to a lucrative career in law.\"Also,\" I thought,\"being handsome couldn\'t hurt.\" After the 2020 global pandemic, I switched to a career in tech where I learned my true skill set lies in information technology and computer science. Everything I learned during my time studying law groomed me into a more personable, client-facing and outgoing QA engineer, but I wish I had listened to my own opinions first. I\'ve never been happier with this decision because ultimately, the decision was mine. By nature, I\'m a creative. I come from a lineage of such people whose minds are oriented to produce, speculate, imagine, and flourish. In the now two years since I\'ve started a career in tech, these natural affinities are opening new and exciting opportunties to do what I love, while also growing professionally in an ever-changing digital world. As I continue down this path, my passion for creative endeavors grows with it. My core competencies include, but are not limited to: software development, agile testing, manual and automation testing, strong communicational, critical thinking and problem solving skills, self-motivated, continuous learner, detail-oriented, deadline-driven, persistent, avid reader and creative writer.
