Redesigned the exhaust diffuser fairing on the aero-derivative gas turbine system to enhance aerodynamic flow and thermal efficiency.Collaborated with aerodynamics, thermal systems, and manufacturing teams to meet ASME/ANSI standards and internal performance targets.• Performed CFD analysis of baseline diffuser geometry using ANSYS Fluent to evaluate flow separation, backpressure, and thermal gradients. Validatedsurface pressure and temperature profiles using SolidWorks Flow Simulation and historical field test data.• Developed 3 design alternatives using Creo and SolidWorks: Elliptical Transition Fairing, Segmented Vane Diffuser, and Tapered Flow Guide. Appliedparametric design and DFM principles, achieving a 2–4% reduction in exhaust backpressure and improved thermal distribution.• Fabricated full-scale composite prototypes via SLA 3D printing and hand layup. Executed dry fit checks and structural validation under simulatedservice conditions. Supported test rig validation where Elliptical Transition Fairing proved a 1.5% drop in thermal losses and improved exhaust flowuniformity.• Generated engineering change orders (ECOs), technical design reports, and comprehensive CAD documentation. Conducted cross-functional designreviews with thermal, structural, and performance teams. Oversaw production release following successful rig test validation and sign-off by systemintegrity and performance engineering groups.
