Speech and Debate Captain @Westmont High School - Cuhsd

As Captain of both the Public Forum Debate and Speech Teams, I’ve led numerous efforts to expand, formalize, and strengthen Westmont’s speech and debate program- Public Forum Debate (20••••25): Developed and implemented a comprehensive training curriculum, mentored new debaters, and supported team members through strategy, case construction, and tournament preparation- Speech (2024-Present): Created Westmont’s first full-fledged competitive speech curriculum and currently coach students across multiple speaking events- Community Outreach: Volunteer weekly as a mentor and teacher at Rolling Hills Middle School’s speech and debate program. I’m also working to expand access by partnering with local middle schools to launch a regional inter-district tournament.
