About Yashika Rustagi

Innovating Precision Biology | Decoding Cellular MysteriesCurrently working as a Senior Scientist and single-cell genomics Group Leader with over 14 years of experience driving cutting-edge research in molecular, single-cell/nucleus RNA sequencing, and spatial transcriptomics. I have specialized in designing, optimizing, and leading complex workflows for single-cell and single-nucleus sequencing, including scRNA-seq, multiome, and Flex profiling across fresh, frozen, and fixed samples using multiple platforms available in the genomics world. My expertise is to isolate as many sample types as possible and achieve major success in needle core biopsy samples, bones, autopsy samples, and different species types such as Drosophila, human, mouse, zebrafish, etc.In addition, I bring advanced expertise in spatial transcriptomics and imaging technologies, including 10x Genomics Visium, Nanostring GeoMx DSP, and high-resolution microscopy workflows, enabling precise mapping of cellular and tissue-level transcriptional landscapes. Currently in the process of testing and optimizing the single-nucleus spatial Trekker workflow from Takara in the lab.I excel in building efficient, reproducible operations, coordinating multi-step experiments, mentoring technical teams (4+), and ensuring high-quality, publishable outcomes. My work bridges research innovation and operational excellence, supporting collaborative projects that drive scientific discovery and translational impact. I am passionate about leading single-cell and spatial genomics operations, scaling high-throughput workflows, and fostering collaborative, high-performance teams, and I am excited to bring this expertise to advance next-generation research programs. Career Highlights:Published in top-tier journals like Nature Communications, Diabetes, Molecular Therapy, and JCI, contributing transformative insights in oncology and metabolic disorders.Expert in high-throughput technologies, revolutionizing workflows to accelerate translational discoveries and therapeutic advancements.Proven leadership in driving cross-disciplinary collaborations, delivering solutions at the forefront of precision medicine.Let’s connect to build impactful collaborations, drive innovation, and shape the future of life sciences together!
