I worked as an intern in SBI Mutual Fund (Surat)’s Sales and Client Servicing departments primarily. I engaged in IFA meetings, direct client interactions, even sales calls to assist business development in Surat. I supported Independent Financial Advisors (IFAs) and partner banks (Bandhan & IDBI) with pitching of mutual funds, filling of forms, and onboarding of clients. I also gained practical experience in verification of KYC, processing transactions, and quality checks in operations. Moreover, I improved my business communication skills, learned to operate the SBI Partner App, and learned the importance of storytelling in financial sales through interactions with senior leadership.
