NASA International Space Apps Challenge- Managed several key workstreams in organizing the Space Apps Challenge, growing the program to become the world’s largest hackathon that attracted registered participants in 2024- Developed a new concept of Space Agency Partnerships and forged strategic alliances with 15 space agencies to join NASA in supporting the hackathon by sharing Earth observation data and expanding the reach of the program in their respective countries- Consistently recruited up to 150 subjects-matter experts annually from across NASA to facilitate the complex judging process that identifies the 10 Global Winners from over submissions- Initiated now annual Winners Celebration program that brings 120 winners from 20+ countries to NASA HQ and Goddard Space Flight Center for 2 days of learning and engagements with NASA leadership.NASA Capacity Building Program- Developed a concept and launched Earth Observation Training, Education and Capacity Development Network (EOTEC DevNet) that has since engaged over 1,300 members from 87 countries to increase uptake of EO information in decision-making and reduced duplication of efforts- Led all phases of website development for EOTEC DevNet including planning, design, implementation and maintenance- Planned and facilitated large convenings for Capacity Building Program (CBP), including CBP team retreats in the U.S. and Working Group on Capacity Building and Data Democracy annual meetings – both virtually and in-person in Vienna, Austria- Represented client by delivering oral and poster presentations at multiple conferences including American Geophysical Union in San Francisco, AmeriGEO Week in Costa Rica, GEO Week in South Africa and others.
