Rockman Industries, the auto-components arm of the $6 billion Hero Group, is a leading manufacturer and supplier of aluminium die-casting components, machined and painted assemblies to the world’s largest motorcycle manufacturer and other renowned automobiles OEMs. Rockman has forayed into Carbon Composites through acquisition of a British-Indian enterprise, Moldex Composites. The company provides world-class and cost-effective advanced composite solutions.
Rockman Industries is the leader in India in two-wheeler and four wheeler alloy wheels manufacturing, with an installed capacity of 13 million alloy wheels annually. The company manufactures cylinder head, cylinder block, crank case, crank case covers, oil pan, transmission housing among other products. Rockman Industries also manufactures and supplies drive chains, cam chains, and starter chains for motorcycles to OEMs and to the after-market.
With eight plants across Haridwar (Uttarakhand), Ludhiana and Mangli (Punjab), Chennai (Tamil Nadu), Bawal (Haryana), Surat and Halol (Gujarat) and Tirupati (Andhra Pradesh), Rockman Industries has capacity to annually process 100,000+ tonnes of aluminium. The company has expertise in all the three casting processes – Gravity Die Casting (GDC), Low Pressure Die Casting (LPDC) and High Pressure Die Casting (HPDC).
Rockman Industries’ clients include Hero, TVS, Honda, Royal Enfield, Revolt, Ather, Hyundai, Kia, Ford, Mahindra, Tata, Bosch, Stanadyne, Dana, Denso, Nemak, PSA AVTEC, KSP Automotive, Continental, Magna, Hanon System, Wabco, Mando, Getrag, BorgWarner, iwis, among others. The company has a team strength of around 7000 employees.
Through investments in the Carbon Composites sector, Rockman Industries caters to the global shift towards carbon fibre usage in the automobiles sector, besides motorsports and aerospace. The company today exports high-performance composite parts to premiere racing and luxury automotive companies in the USA, the UK and Europe.
