Focus on designing and optimizing aerodynamic components for our Formula 1 SAE vehicle. Utilize CATIA for precise part modeling and conducting Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) simulations through Ansys Fluent, analyzing images for factors such as pressure gradient and flow separation, and synthesizing the results alongside six team members and two responsible engineers.Manufacture aerodynamic components such as the floor and front wing with carbon fiber layups, optimizing for weight reduction and maximizing structural integrity.Previously worked on rear wing design, utilizing various airfoils at different angles of attack alongside tests of a 2 and 3-element design, leading to an overall lift coefficient of 0.27. Also worked on implementing central diffuser strakes to reduce tire wake and floor vortex generators to delay flow separation.
