My first internship was as a front office dealer, where I bought and sold equity stocks and derivatives for the company\'s clients. Huge financial amounts, aggressive price fluctuation, and demanding clients were factors that contributed immensely to my learning experience. For my second internship, I worked as a back-office technical intern. My main responsibilities included making technical calls to buy well-performing stocks at favourable prices and helping the company acquire new clients by delivering visible positive financial results. I used my theoretical knowledge of the fundamentals and judgement to identify good investments, stocks, mutual funds and SIPs. I also wrote several research reports on both short-term and long-term quality stocks that would provide the maximum returns for our clients. We were rewarded with incentives if our reports outperformed those of other brokerage firms. While working there, I was once challenged to find a script from the equity market that would generate very high returns, earning me a full salary incentive. I researched a few companies\' available information, including their fundamentals, financial reports, technical data, and charts. Ultimately, I chose the Bajaj Finance script, which generated 57% profits the following month for my company. I won my reward, and my report was graded as the best among all the interns. These experiences have been instrumental in helping me zero in on my plans for the future. I envision myself working as a Financial Analyst or a Portfolio Manager with leading financial institutions such as JP Morgan, Wells Fargo or Morgan Stanley. After gaining practical experience and drawing inspiration from my father, an entrepreneur, I hope to launch my own financial consultancy venture that offers investment advice and portfolio management services. On the way to achieving my career goals, my academic background has helped me gain a strong foothold in the field of finance by exposing me to relevant coursework. My undergrad curriculum comprised entirely of insights on Finance Markets related to investment, analysis and finances. It has helped me understand the foundation of markets and investments through subjects like Equity, Debt and Financial markets, which has made my conceptual understanding more thorough. I have gained in-depth knowledge of how markets work, managing accounts and trading in equity and debt markets.
