About Yash Mehta
Hi, I’m Yash Mehta, a BBA student majoring in Finance at ATLAS SkillTech University. With a background in Computer Science from high school, I developed a natural curiosity for solving complex problems — a skill that has seamlessly translated into my growing passion for financial markets, business strategy, and investment research. Currently, I’m interning with the Investment Equity Team at Nippon India Mutual Fund, where I’m gaining valuable hands-on experience in buy-side equity research. My focus lies in the healthcare and pharma sectors, where I analyze company fundamentals, track industry trends, and contribute to investment theses. This role has deepened my understanding of how data-driven insights and conviction come together to support real-world investment decisions. Prior to this, I interned at Alkem Laboratories Ltd. under the mentorship of CFO Mr. Nitin Agrawal and AVP Mr. Dishant Doshi. During this internship, I played an integral role in drafting the company’s 2024 Annual Report. Working closely with finance, compliance, and external consultants, I experienced the precision and cross-functional coordination required for effective corporate reporting and regulatory compliance. This experience sharpened my attention to detail and strategic thinking in a high-stakes environment. Alongside my academic and professional journey, I served as the Vice-President of the Rotaract Club at ATLAS SkillTech University. This leadership role helped me hone my team-building, communication, and organizational skills while driving community initiatives and motivating peers to achieve collective goals. I’m really into the mix of finance, leadership, and entrepreneurship — it’s where things get exciting for me. I love fast-paced environments that push me to learn new things, adapt on the fly, and actually make an impact. Outside of finance, I’m passionate about videography — capturing stories and moments through the lens keeps my creativity flowing and gives me fresh perspectives. Also, I’m a hardcore football fan and a proud Barcelona supporter, always excited by the game’s energy and teamwork.
