It’s this really cozy place where the temperature is perfect, I know exactly where everything is and what’s going to happen, and I feel calm. You need to know this about me because it means that I GET IT. Change is difficult. It’s disruptive and uncomfortable. Every single person goes through a “change curve” when change happens. It’s the way we’re wired. And when change happens at work, it can be particularly stressful to navigate through change – because you still need to get your job done and deliver results. This is why I am passionate about change management, because if done well, it gets ahead of the pitfalls resulting from the disruption, effectively prepares everyone for what’s coming, and leads to faster and successful change adoption.2. Even though I love my comfort zone, I am highly adaptable. I learned very quickly in my career that preference does not define ability. As humans, we may be wired to be wary of change. But we are also adaptable.Every phase of my career, all of the value I’ve been able to deliver and lead teams to deliver, and all of the best moments of my life have been possible because once I understood the necessity and value of changing, I was dedicated to navigating through it, learning how to adapt quickly and continuously grow, grow, grow. The nature of change is changing – it’s happening faster, more frequently, and simultaneously. I can adapt and I can help others adapt quickly and successfully too.3. I believe that WHAT you deliver and HOW you go about delivering it are EQUALLY important.Delivering strong results in a way that engages people as part of the journey is what I love.
