About Yara Mortada
Architect with a strong interest in community planning and design.My prior work in Lebanon involved community outreach at Borderless NGO and research and design strategies at Design for Communities NGO. Both experiences informed me of the significance of civil societies in urban development and their impact on the social and cultural fabric of our communities. In addition to these experiences, I worked as an archivist at the American University of Beirut\'s Department of Architecture, where I learned the history and the value of earlier work on our current urban fabric and enhanced my abilities as a practitioner.
